MATERIAL.—Manning 1971 Collection: Sta ASC-21, English Bay: 4 specimens [1.6–3.0].—Sta ASC-22, McArthur Point: 1 ovig. female [4.2].

Smithsonian 1976 Collection: Sta 1C–76, McArthur Point: 2 specimens [3.3,4.2].—ASC Sta 3C, English Bay: 1 specimen [2.2].—Sta 3D–76, English Bay: 3 specimens [3.1–3.8].—Sta 8–76, McArthur Point: 1 specimen [4.6].

SIZE.—Carapace lengths, 1.6–4.6 mm; of ovigerous female, 4.2 mm.

HABITAT.—The Ascension specimens were found in tide pools and also associated with rocks and coralline alga clumps in shallow water.

DISTRIBUTION.—Common in tropical and subtropical waters of the western Atlantic from North Carolina and Bermuda to Estado de Santa Catarina.Brazil; also recorded from St. Paul’s Rocks, St. Helena Island, and now Ascension Island; eastern Pacific from Baja California, Mexico; to a depth of 50 meters.
