The walls of the umbrella are very thin. Velum is wide. The edge to the umbrella carries 40-80 tentacles. Manubrium very short. The gonad enwraps the base of the manubrium in a wide ring and extends along the radial canals in the form of wide ribbons.
Height up to 2 mm, diameter 3-4 mm.
Homoeonema platygonon is a species of deep sea hydrozoan of the family Halicreatidae.[1] It is the only species in the monotypic genus Homoeonema.
