Prionace glauca (Blue Shark) is a species of modern sharks in the family requiem sharks. They are listed as near threatened by IUCN. They are native to Indian Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, Mediterranean Sea, and Pacific Ocean. They are solitary, diurnal carnivores. Individuals can grow to 400 cm. Reproduction is iteroparous and viviparous. They have parental care (female provides care). They rely on swimming and carcharhiniform to move around.
