És un peix marí, associat als esculls,[8] oceanòdrom i de clima tropical que viu entre 3-55 m de fondària.[5][9]

És inofensiu per als humans.[5]

Males can reach a maximum total length of 100 centimeters, but more commonly reach a TL of 80 cm.[3]

Conger triporiceps is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van zeepalingen (Congridae).[2] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1958 door Kanazawa.
