Chauliodus sloani (Dannevig's Dragonfish) is a species of ray-finned fishes in the family dragonfishes. They are native to The Neotropics, Oceania continent (Australia, NZ and islands), Pacific Ocean, Asia, Mediterranean Sea, Atlantic Ocean, The Nearctic, Indian Ocean, Ethiopia, and the Palearctic. They are solitary, nocturnal carnivores. Individuals can grow to 35 cm. They have sexual reproduction. Reproduction is iteroparous and oviparous. They rely on swimming to move around.
