Physiculus karrerae, the Japanese codling, is a bathydemersal fish found in the Atlantic Ocean.[1]
This species reaches a length of 27.4 cm (10.8 in).[2]
The fish is named in honor of German ichthyologist Christine Karrer, because of her contributions to the knowledge of morid fishes.[3]

Physiculus karrerae is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van diepzeekabeljauwen (Moridae).[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1989 door Paulin.
