Has a color pattern very similar to C. schultzi.Description: Characterized by whitish color with dark grey snout; head and body covered with numerous dark-edged orange spots, sometimes merged to form solid stripes; 10 caudal rays; rings 15 - 16 + 29 - 32; discontinuous superior trunk and tail ridges; straight lateral trunk ridge, ends near anal ring; continuous inferior trunk and tail ridge; length of snout 1.7-2.0 in head length; head length 5.5-7.1 in SL (Ref. 90102).

Corythoichthys ocellatus, the ocellated pipefish or orange-spotted pipefish, is a marine pipefish found in the western Pacific Ocean.[2] Belonging to the family Syngnathidae, it grows up to 10 cm long, and is found in the first 12 m of the warm tropical seas off the coast of Australia. Ovoviviparous, the male carries the eggs in a brood pouch found under the tail.[3]
