Rhinomugil corsula és una espècie de peix de la família dels mugílids i de l'ordre dels mugiliformes que habita a l'Índia,[4][5][6] Bangladesh,[7][8] el Nepal i Birmània.[9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17] És un peix de clima tropical (22°C-30°C)[18] i pelàgic.[10] Els mascles poden assolir 45 cm de longitud total.[10][13] És ovípar i els ous són pelàgics.[19] És inofensiu per als humans.[10]

The corsula (Rhinomugil corsula) is a species of ray-finned fish from the grey mullet family Mugilidae. It is found in the rivers and estuaries of southern Asia, in India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Myanmar.[2] It is presently regarded as the only species in the monospecific genus Rhinomugil.[3]

Rhinomugil corsula is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van harders (Mugilidae).[2] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1822 door Hamilton.

De soort staat op de Rode Lijst van de IUCN als niet bedreigd, beoordelingsjaar 2010.[1]
