Broadstripe Goby

Distinguished by having the following characteristics: presence of a dark blue horizontal band on an almost light body (Ref. 92840).

Monogamous mating is observed as both obigate and social (Ref. 52884).

Does not rely exclusively on cleaning for food since coral polyps, sponge tissues and spicules represented a large part of the gut contents of the specimens studied (Ref. 37894).

Coral-dwelling goby (Ref. 51183). Found in groups near coral heads (Ref. 9710). Monogamous (Ref. 52884). Has been reared in captivity (Ref. 35408).
