Calloplesiops altivelis (Comet) is a species of ray-finned fishes in the family roundheads. They are native to Oceania continent (Australia, NZ and islands) and Pacific Ocean. They are solitary, nocturnal carnivores. Individuals can grow to 20 cm. They have sexual reproduction. They have parental care (paternal care). They rely on swimming to move around.
