Ambrosia trifida (Great Ragweed) is a species of annual herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, and The Americas. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Cheilosia capillata, Blaesoxipha hunteri, Mallota posticata, and Xylota angustiventris. Individuals can grow to 1 m.
