They are native to South Carolina, Louisiana, Florida, Southeastern U.S.A., Georgia, The Contiguous United States, Alabama, The Neotropics, Mississippi, and North Carolina. They have white flowers and achenes. Flowers are visited by Common Eastern Bumblebee. Individuals can grow to 13 feet.
