Distribution: Mexico (central plateau of Mexico, from Chihuahua and presumably Nuevo León southward to C Puebla; Pacific coast from the Balsas basin northward to S Sinaloa and perhaps Sonora. Recorded from (?) Sonora, Chihuahua, Durango, Coahuila, Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosí, Zacatecas, Hidalgo, Querétaro, Guanajuato, Aguascalientes, Jalisco, Sinaloa, Nayarit (incl. Isabel Island), Colima, Michoacán, Distrito Federal, Puebla, Veracruz, Morelos).
Type locality: not definitely stated: Colima, Guadalajara, Córdoba, Cobán (guatemala) or San Antonio (Texas); restricted to Colima, Colima by SMITH & TAYLOR 1950.
