Leucistic axolotl. This mutation results in virtually no migration of pigment cells off the neural crest during embryo development. It's a simple autosomal recessive trait.

Egg/embryo at Gosner stage 40. Areas of melanophores (brown/black pigment cells) and xanthophores (yellow pigment cells) are clearly visible and the eye is developing well. Gills and balancers are present.
