Oxaiis dimidiata Donn. Smith, Bot. Gaz. 15: 27. 1890.
Plants 1-1.5 dm. tall, the bulb-scales succulent ; leaves as tall as the scape or slightly taller, the petioles sparingly pubescent; leaflets 3, the blades lunate in outline, 2-3 cm. wide, deep-green above, pale and often sparingly pubescent beneath, the outer lobe of the lateral leaflets reduced to a narrow wing ; scapes pubescent like the petioles ; cymes mostly 2^1-flowered ; pedicels mostly 1-2 cm. long, sometimes slightly longer, glabrous ; sepals lanceolate, 3.5-4 mm. long, glabrous except the sometimes ciliate apex, each bearing 2 apical tubercles ; petals purple, 10-12 mm . long ; shorter filaments glabrous ; longer filaments pubescent, unappendaged.
Type locality : Near Coban, Guatemala. Distribution : Guatemala.

Ionoxalis stolonifera Rose, Contr. U. S. Nat. Herb. 10: 131. 1906
Plants 1-1.5 dm. tall, the bulb-scales 3-ribbed ; leaves somewhat shorter than the scape, the petioles glabrous ; leaflets 3, the blades cuneate, 5-9 mm. wide, notched at the apex, deep-green above, pale beneath, those of the lateral ones very inequilateral ; scapes glabrous ; cymes 1-few-flowered ; pedicels 9-15 mm. long, glabrous ; sepals lanceolate or narrowly oblong-lanceolate, 3-3.5 mm. long, glabrous, each bearing 2 short apical tubercles ; petals violet-purple, 12-15 mm. long ; filaments glabrous, the longer ones appendaged on the back below the middle.
Type locality: Sierra de Tepoxtlan, Morelos, Mexico.
Distribution : Morelos.

Plants 1-3 dm. tall, the bulb-scales 3-ribbed ; leaves fully one half as tall as the scape or less ; the petioles minutely pubescent ; leaflets 3, the blades cun eate-obovate to obdeltoid in outline, 1-3 cm. wide, usually glabrous in age, bright-green above, glancescent beneath ; scapes relatively slender or lax ; cymes 3-15-flowered ; pedicels 1-2.5 cm. long, minutely pubescent ; sepals oblong or nearly so, 2.5-3 mm. long, glabrous, except the sometimes ciliolate apex, each bearing 2 short apical tubercles ; petals violet, 8-11 mm. long; shorter filaments glabrous; longer filaments pubescent, unappendaged.
Type locality: Near Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico. Distribution : Morelos.
