Lathyrus japonicus (Beach Pea) is a species of perennial herb in the family legumes. They are climbers. They are native to Alaska, Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, Canada, Greenland, The Contiguous United States, and Eastern North America. They have purple flowers. Flowers are visited by Shrill carder bee, Small garden bumblebee, Brown-belted Bumblebee, and Common carder bumblebee. Individuals can grow to 1.5 feet.
