Persicaria pensylvanica (Pinkweed) is a species of annual herb in the family Polygonaceae. They are native to North America, The Contiguous United States, South America, Canada, and Alaska. They have red flowers and achenes. Flowers are visited by Mournful Duskywing, Ochlodes yuma, Common Checkered Skipper, and Augochloropsis metallica. Individuals can grow to 3.9 feet.
