Pleopeltis astrolepis (Starscale Fern) is a species of perennial herb in the family Polypodiaceae. They are native to Pantanal, Pampa, Santa Catarina, Mato Grosso Do Sul, ParaíBa, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, Espirito Santo, The Contiguous United States, Caatinga, Paraná, Pará, Ceará, Mata Atlântica, Cerrado, Alagoas, Rio De Janeiro, U.S. Virgin Islands, Amapá, Rio Grande Do Sul, Amazônia, SãO Paulo, GoiáS, Puerto Rico, Sergipe, and Bahia. They have simple leaves. They have alternation of generations.
