Eclipta prostrata (False Daisy) is a species of shrub in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Mata Atlântica, Santa Catarina, RondôNia, Pernambuco, Pará, SãO Paulo, Espirito Santo, The Contiguous United States, Puerto Rico, Acre (Brazil), Roraima, Piauí, Tocantins, Rio De Janeiro, U.S. Virgin Islands, Pantanal, GoiáS, Minas Gerais, Rio Grande Do Sul, Mato Grosso, Bahia, Caatinga, ParaíBa, Cerrado, Rio Grande Do Norte, Canada, Ceará, Pampa, Sergipe, Paraná, Amazônia, Alagoas, Amapá, Maranhao, Mato Grosso Do Sul, and Distrito Federal. They have simple, broad leaves and white flowers. Flowers are visited by Mimosa Yellow, Dark Grass Blue, and Luthrodes pandava pandava. Individuals can grow to 0.98 m.
