Euonymus europaeus (Common Spindle Tree) is a species of shrub in the family Celastraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They have simple, broad leaves and loculicidal capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Myodes glareolus cytomegalovirus 1, Bibio marci, and Nomada fulvicornis. Individuals can grow to 3.4 m.
