Ischnochiton comptus is a medium-sized polyplacophoran mollusc in the family Ischnochitonidae.^[3]

The species is 30 mm in size.^[4]

Mainly distributed in the North Pacific region,^[1] such as: South Korea, Taiwan,^[4] Mainland China,^[2]^[5] Japan especially in central Honshu.^[3]^[6] Can be seen on rocks in intertidal zone and neritic zone.^[4]
