Agathodesmus is a genus of millipedes in the family Haplodesmidae, first described by Filippo Silvestri in 1910.[1][2] The type species is Agathodesmus steeli.[1]

In 1926, J. Carl described the same genus as Atopogonus.[3] The basis for the decision for synonymy was a 2009 paper by Robert Mesibov.[1][4]

Species of this genus are found in the Australian states of Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia.[1]
