They are native to Maranhao, GoiáS, Piauí, Bahia, Caatinga, RondôNia, Paraná, Pernambuco, Mato Grosso, Espirito Santo, SãO Paulo, Roraima, Amazônia, Sergipe, Alagoas, Pará, Acre (Brazil), Mato Grosso Do Sul, Rio De Janeiro, Mata Atlântica, Tocantins, Cerrado, Minas Gerais, ParaíBa, Ceará, and Distrito Federal. Flowers are visited by Centris tarsata, Trigonoid Oil-Digger, Honey bee, and Grayish Carpenter.
