Branches smooth ; leaf-blades ovate, 10 cm. long or less, somewhat acuminate but
btuse, persistently pubescent beneath, obtuse or rounded at the base, short-petioled ;
epals suborbicular, the glands nearly as long as the sepal-body ; petals yellow, the larger
ones 10-12 mm. long, the blades suborbicular, lacerate-denticulate ; samaras 3.5-4.5 cm.
wide, the lateral wings cuneate-flabellate, finely pubescent, erose-undulate.
Type locality : Borrego, near Orizaba, Veracruz. Distribution : Near Orizaba.
