Description

Erect perennial herb, up to 60 cm. One to three stems, simple or branched growing from a rootstock. Stems densely pilose, purplish. Leaves elliptic to oblanceolate, larger leaves around the base subpetiolate, smaller leaves higher on the stems sessile. Margins may be serrate towards the apex. Inflorescences dense to lax, terminal or axillary in the upper bracts. Capitula yellow with light green involucral bracts.
