Cephalodiscus densus is a sessile hemichordate belonging to the order Cephalodiscida.[2] The species is endemic to the Antarctic, being found in the Ross Sea and much of the Antarctic coastline, as well as near the Kerguelen Islands.[3]
Specimens are approximately 1 mm in diameter and 6 mm long, of which about 4 mm are the stalk, and the preserved flesh appears orange in color.[3]

Cephalodiscus densus is een diersoort in de taxonomische indeling van de Hemichordata. Het dier behoort tot het geslacht Cephalodiscus en behoort tot de familie Cephalodiscidae. De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort werd voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1907 door Andersson.
