Cyanthillium vernonioides (Muschl.) H. Robinson

Description

Similar to V. cinerea, but differing in its outer pappus reduced to a low fringe-like rim of short oblong or rounded scales, 0.1-0.2 mm long. In addition, V. meiostephane has a laxer inflorescence and smaller capitula and occurs at higher altitudes (over 800 m).
