Greeffiella - the tinest nematodes!

Members of the genus Greeffiella are free-living marine nematodes. They are found in marine sand around the world - on beaches, in coral reef habitats, even the deep sea. They are unusual nematodes in being covered in spines. Greeffiella maybe be most famous for being the smallest nematode every described - adult Greeffiella minutum can be just 0.08 mm long!
