Helianthus laetiflorus (Cheerful Sunflower) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States and North America. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Ichneumon ambulatorius, Mydas tibialis, Common Eastern Bumblebee, and Allognosta fuscitarsis. Individuals can grow to 2 m.
