Helenium amarum (Yellowdicks) is a species of annual herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States and The Neotropics. They have broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Common Eastern Bumblebee, Halictus poeyi, American Bumblebee, and Checkered White. Individuals can grow to 4 dm.
