They are native to Rio De Janeiro, Rio Grande Do Sul, Puerto Rico, Amazônia, Santa Catarina, Minas Gerais, Distrito Federal, GoiáS, Cerrado, Caatinga, Bahia, SãO Paulo, Mato Grosso, Acre (Brazil), Paraná, Tocantins, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Mata Atlântica, RondôNia, and Espirito Santo. They have alternation of generations.
