Pileus convex or somewhat conic to subexpanded, rarely umbonate, thin, cespitose, wood-loving, 3-5 cm. broad; surface smooth, glabrous, slightly viscid, hygrophanous, miniatous when young, becoming testaceous at the center and ochroleucous on the margin in mature plants ; context dull-colored, bitterish; lamellae adnate, rather narrow, not crowded, ochraceous; spores ellipsoid, smooth, hyaline with a yellowish tint under the microscope, probably paleochraceous in mass, with one or two very brilliant nuclei, 7 X 3-4 fx ; stipe equal, miniatous to ochroleucous below, white above, slightly moist and viscid, decorated with a few fibrils, the remains of a slight white veil, about 7 cm. long, 4-8 mm. thick.
Type locality^ Seattle, Washington.
Habitat: Growing from the under side of a much decayed coniferous log in the forest. Distribution: Seattle, Washington.
