Polygala oaxacana Chod. Bot. Jahrb. 52: Beibl 115: 73. 1914.
Stems few, suffruticulose below, barely puberulous above, about 2 dm. long; leaves linear, the larger 26-35 mm. long, 2.5-3 mm. wide, acute, mucronate, glabrescent; racemes 3-5 -flowered, 3 cm. long; flowers 6-7 mm. long; sepals lanceolate, ciliate; wings oval, a little longer than broad, short-clawed, ciliate; keel somewhat 3-lobed, the limb noticeably shorter than the claw; filaments long-hirsute; ovary obovate, shortly and densely pilose; fruit and seed unknown.
Type locality: San Juan del Estado, Etla, Oaxaca. Distribution: Known only from the type locality.
