Adonis palaestina Boiss.

Adonis palaestina is a subendemic species in Israel. It is an annual with rather large red flowers. I found it hard to photograph, especially in bright sun. This specimen has a relatively large black centred flowers.

It is peak spring and many flowers occur everywhere in Israel. Here u can see Adonis palaestina in red with Linum pubescens.
