Bidens pilosa (Hairy Beggarticks) is a species of shrub in the family Asteraceae. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Peru, Costa Rica, Dominica, El Salvador, Belize, Cuba, Honduras, Barbados, Puerto Rico, Saint Lucia, Antigua And Barbuda, Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Solomon Islands, Guyana, Brazil, Venezuela, Saint Kitts And Nevis, Haiti, Suriname, Martinique, Bolivia, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Argentina, Colombia, Montserrat, Chile, The Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Saint Vincent And The Grenadines, Uruguay, Mexico, Panama, and Jamaica. Flowers are visited by Megachile policaris, Megachile rugifrons, Petulant Leaf-cutter Bee, and Braunsapis langenburgensis.
