Cartrema americana (American Devilwood) is a species of shrub in the family Oleaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States and Eastern North America. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Honey bee and Euodynerus megaera. Individuals can grow to 6.7 m.
