Phlox hoodii (Spiny Phlox) is a species of perennial herb in the family Polemoniaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, Alaska, The Contiguous United States, and United States. They have simple, broad leaves and blue flowers. Flowers are visited by Vanessa cardui, Western White, Anthophora ursina, and Gray Hairstreak. Individuals can grow to 0.05 m.
