They are native to The Contiguous United States, United States, North America, Canada, Eastern North America, and Western North America. They have drupes. Flowers are visited by Four-toothed Mason Wasp, Eastern Carpenter Bee, Syritta pipiens, and Agrilaxia flavimana.
