Staphylea trifolia (American Bladdernut) is a species of tree in the family bladdernuts. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Canada, and Eastern North America. They have broad leaves and berries. Flowers are visited by Mallota cimbiciformis, Gnadochaeta clistoides, Empis pudica, and Alabagrus sanctus. Individuals can grow to 7.9 m.
