Portulaca halimoides (Silkcotton Purslane) is a species of annual herb in the family Portulacaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to ParaíBa, U.S. Virgin Islands, Sergipe, Rio Grande Do Norte, The Contiguous United States, Puerto Rico, Alagoas, Minas Gerais, Amapá, Rio De Janeiro, Cerrado, Mata Atlântica, Roraima, Pará, Maranhao, Piauí, Pernambuco, Ceará, Distrito Federal, Rio Grande Do Sul, Espirito Santo, Tocantins, Bahia, Amazônia, GoiáS, Caatinga, and Pampa. They have simple, broad leaves and capsule fruit.
