Plagiochila simplex is a species of woody liverworts in the family Plagiochilaceae. They are native to Amazônia, Pará, Espirito Santo, Cerrado, Rio De Janeiro, Rio Grande Do Sul, Paraná, Bahia, Minas Gerais, Santa Catarina, Pernambuco, SãO Paulo, Mato Grosso, and Mata Atlântica.
