Hemionitis tomentosa is a species of herb in the family Pteridaceae. They are native to Rio Grande Do Sul, Espirito Santo, Mato Grosso, SãO Paulo, Rio De Janeiro, Santa Catarina, Alagoas, Ceará, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Paraná, Bahia, Pernambuco, GoiáS, Minas Gerais, Cerrado, Mata Atlântica, and Distrito Federal. They have alternation of generations.
