Sparingly tomentose to almost glabrous plant. It is erect, rigid herb with thin peduncles and conical receptacle. Leaves are small, cuneate, narrow, few-toothed in the upper half, and up to 1 cm. long. Inner involucral scales with long, broad, and scarious margin. Achenes are white, and smooth.
Slender dwarf herb with indurated glossy stems and small heads. Leaves are varying from entire few-toothed to sparingly pinnatisect.
