Perennial; stem eiect, 5 dm. high or more, stiiate, sparingly strigose; leaves 10-15 cm. long, ascending; stipules lanceolate, 4-5 mm. long; leaflets 25-29, nairowly oblaneeolate, 1-2 cm. long, 2-4 mm. wide sparingly strigose; peduncles about 1 dm. long, strict; racemes nearly as long; bracts lanceolate, 2-3 mm. long; pedicels vciy shoit; calyx canescent-strigose, the tube
3 mm. long, the teeth subulate, nearly 2 mm. long; corolla purpl'sh; banner obovate, spreading; keel-petals broadly lunate; pod oval-ellipsoid, about 2.5 cm. long and 1.5 cm. wide, sparingly short-strigose.
Type locality: Lagoon Head, Lower California. Distribution: Known only from the type locality.
