Green pileus subviscid at first, soon dry and becoming finely areolate. White, unchanging flesh. White hymenophore with greenish tints on the pores when young becoming pale porphyry pinkish. Coaresly reticulate stipe with reticulum green and background color pale orange at first then whitish. Spores irregularly pitted at first becoming beset with meandering fissures.
Japan, SE Asia, NE Australia. Possibly montane Neotropics.

There are green Austroboletus taxa described and recorded from Mexico (A. mexicanus Singer), Costa Rica and Colombia. May or may not be the same.
