Pileus thin, convex or hemispheric, obtuse or umbilicate, gregarious, 1.2-2.5 cm. broad; surface minutely furfuraceous, pale-yell owish-brown: context whitish, the taste bitter; lamellae thin, subdistant, adnate or slightly decurrent, white: spores broadly ellipsoid, 6-8 X 4—5 p: stipe equal, firm, glabrous, flexuous, stuffed with a white pith, having a white, mycelioid tomentum at the base, 2.5 cm. long, 2-4 mm. thick.
Type locality: Gansevoort, Saratoga County, New York. Habitat: In woods.
Distribution: Known only from the type locality.
