Trypeta maculosa is a species of tephritid or fruit flies in the genus Trypeta of the family Tephritidae.^[1][2][3]

Trypeta maculosa adalah spesies lalat yang tergolong famili Tephritidae. Spesies ini juga merupakan bagian dari ordo Diptera, kelas Insecta, filum Arthropoda, dan kingdom Animalia.

Kebanyakan anggota spesies ini bertelur dalam jaringan tumbuhan, tempat larva menemukan makanan pertamanya setelah lahir. Lalat dewasa biasanya berumur sangat pendek. Beberapa hidup selama kurang dari seminggu.

Trypeta maculosa is een vliegensoort uit de familie van de boorvliegen (Tephritidae).^[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1899 door Coquillett.
