Syrphus ribesii (Common Banded Hoverfly) is a species of flies in the family flower flies. They visit flowers of bristly hawkbit, (page not found), Yellow Horned Poppy, and common sowthistle. They are diurnal. Individuals can grow to 13.3 mm.
