Plants monoecious, very mucilaginous, ca. 4.5 cm high, 300-350 μm in diameter, abundantly and irregularly branched, bluish green; whorls ellipsoidal, distant from each other, sometimes touching and compressed; primary fascicles abundantly branched, 7-12 cell-storeys, cells cylindrical or fusiform, 2-8 μm in diameter, 10-12 μm long, terminal hairs absent; secondary fascicles sparse; spermatangia rare, spherical, 4-7 μm in diameter, terminal on fascicles; carpogonium-bearing branches short, highly undulated, consisting of 3-7 disc-shaped to barrel-shaped cells, arising from periaxial cells; involucral filaments sparse, very short; carpogonia asymmetrical, 4-6 μm in diameter at the base, 4-7 μm in diameter at the apex, 17-34 μm long, trichogyne urn-shaped, indistinctly stalked; carposporophytes single or in pairs, spherical or semi-spherical, 80-190 μm in diameter, 40-130 μm high, inserted centrally, gonimoblast filaments loosely agglomerated; carposporangia spherical or ovoidal, 7-9 μm in diameter, 7-11 μm long.
