Thalassionema nitzschioides

Thalassionema nitzschioides is a species of diatoms in the family Thalassionemataceae. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Alagoas, SãO Paulo, Sergipe, Pará, Rio Grande Do Sul, Rio Grande Do Norte, Espirito Santo, Santa Catarina, ParaíBa, Pernambuco, Rio De Janeiro, Paraná, and Bahia. Dead Thalassionema nitzschioides form siliceous oozes. Individuals can grow to 110 µm.
